3DPlay allows you to view SOLIDWORKS files in the cloud. Review tools allow you to measure, annotate, section, share and more. 3DPlay can also display simulation results and kinematic animations.
3D Drive
3DDrive provides cloud based file storage and management and is a great tool to help ensure everyone is accessing the latest version of a file.
3DDrive also provides access control and file history, meaning that you can control who can open each file and you can restore older versions of a file if necessary. Additional file management tools, such as full file revision management and approval processes require the Collaborative Industry Innovator role.
Web Page Reader

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 3DExperience Platform?
3DEXPERIENCE is a cloud based business platform that offers various functionalities including mechanical CAD design, industrial CAD design, data management, and project planning.
What can I buy from the 3DExperience Platform?
The platform is divided into roles, which in turn are made up of apps. Apps provide the actual functionality of the platform, for example, the xDesign app gives mechanical CAD design, while the Project Planner app provides project management, task assignment, and progress tracking capability.
What do I need to get started with the platform?
The underlying architecture of the platform is a secure portion of the cloud server called a “Tenant”. This tenant is then where a you can build your custom dashboard and invite in their colleagues and suppliers. Without this tenant, you can only access public dashboards (i.e. DraftSight) via a web link. A tenant is ordered alongside the roles for a you to begin using the 3DEXPERIENCE.
What are the different roles available?
The are hundreds of roles available but only a few of them are likely to be applicable to our typical SOLIDWORKS customer. See the roles above for a guide. The roles cover 3D Modeling, Generative Design, Simulation and Collaboration.
How do I buy a licence or 'role' to use on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform?
To purchase a licence for the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, you can contact a member of our team who will discuss what your requirements are. From there you can arrange a quote, trial or free demonstration.
Simply contact us on 01663 741 405 or complete the form below.
