Undergraduate Placement

Description

We are looking for enthusiastic undergraduates to join us for a 1 year placement located at our head office on the edge of the Peak District national park and within commuting distance of Manchester and Sheffield. Students studying in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electronics & Electrical Engineering or similar degrees will be considered.

During the placement you will primarily spend time working in the technical team but with additional opportunity to gain experience with our sales and marketing teams. These three disciplines form the core of our business activities and actively interact with each other on a daily basis. The composition of the role is flexible and can be tailored to suit the particular strengths or interests of candidates.

The technical aspects of the placement include the opportunity to attend the full curriculum of professional SolidWorks training courses with a view to achieving industry recognised certifications. Our engineering team works directly with customers to understand their technical challenges and help them apply our products to solve their problems. You will support customers across an extremely diverse range of industries from furniture and consumer goods to heavy machinery and transport.

Part of your placement could be spent with our marketing department where you will have the opportunity to develop case study material, design email templates, work on social media campaigns and blog articles etc. The marketing function supports the sales team by helping deliver new leads and intelligence to increase sales opportunities. Working within the marketing team you will also have the opportunity to learn more about analytics, customer relationship tools and automated marketing and tracking tools, all of which have become an integral part of any modern business in the development of a successful sales and marketing function.

SolidWorks PCB Sales Executive

Description

We are looking for a Sales Executive to sell the SolidWorks PCB design product throughout the UK.

A sales career with the UK’s most recognised SolidWorks CAD vendor. Due to a growing portfolio of products, we are looking to employ a dedicated sales manager to sell the SolidWorks PCB design package, developed by the leading developer in this field, Altium.

There is both opportunity to sell this solution to New Business clients in conjunction with SolidWorks CAD or to sell the product into our established client-base.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the best people in the industry, selling part of a leading portfolio of products and join a company that is firmly on an upward curve.

Minimum Experience

We are ideally looking for a degree qualified electrical or electronic engineer with experience of PCB design within industry, but seeking the commercial challenge offered by a sales role. Previous experience of using Altium Designer for PCB design and a general knowledge of 3D CAD will be particularly advantageous.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated individual that is organised and can work on their own initiative to create and exploit opportunities for this product. They should be comfortable with presenting business benefits to company representatives and directors and be able to move an opportunity through to a profitable close.

Technical

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification beneficial

The Role

  • Profiling existing customers to discover opportunities for SolidWorks PCB
  • Promoting SolidWorks PCB by marketing campaigns and calling activity
  • Conducting seminars to educate on the product
  • Lead follow-up and qualification
  • Understanding customer requirements via calls and meetings
  • Conducting software demonstrations in conjunction with our technical team

Territory Sales Manager

Description

Cadtek Systems are looking to recruit a new Territory Sales Manager to join our growing Sales Team. We are looking for candidates who live and breathe success, you will enjoy the buzz that comes with closing a deal and relish in the challenges that you will face. You will be expected to represent Cadtek in a geographic territory – South East and East Anglia, leveraging additional business from managing existing clients, and prospecting for new business opportunities to expand our UK customer-base.

Minimum Experience

2 to 5 years sales experience.

Requirements

A self starter with good organisation skills is essential; you will need an understanding of the critical business issues that modern manufacturing companies seek to resolve, matching their needs with our SolidWorks software solutions. Ideal candidates will have an engineering background and a proven track record of successful sales. Having previously sold IT and/or CAD Solutions will be of significant benefit.

Graduate Sales Executive

Description

To support continuous growth initiatives a new, dynamic and diverse opportunity has been created for an entry level Graduate Sales Executive to work alongside our existing Field Sales Executives.

Initially the role will be office based from either our Stokenchurch or Furness Vale sites. Delivering Training

Deliver classroom and on-site training courses from the SolidWorks training curriculum. This will include basic training to new SolidWorks users along with more advanced training to experienced users.

Future Development Opportunities:

Account Management

You will be responsible for the technical management of a number of key customers. This will include regular communication and site-visits to ensure a smooth initial implementation as well as ongoing upgrades and development.

Customisation

From time to time we are commissioned to deliver additional functionality via the SolidWorks Visual Basic Application interface. It is envisaged that after a period of training and usage the support engineers are able to generate and implement additional script based functionality.

Pre-Sales Demonstrations

Deliver standard and customer specific product demonstrations, to show the products’ capabilities and also how the potential end user may apply it to his business.

Electrical Application Engineer

Description

Cadtek Systems are looking for a CAD user to join our technical support team. Ideally candidates will have an electrical or general engineering degree and some industrial experience of working in these fields. Having some knowledge of mechanical engineering as well would be useful as SolidWorks Electrical 3D works within the electro-mechanical design environment. Above all an aptitude for working with SolidWorks Electrical Schematic and SolidWorks Electrical 3D CAD applications is the prime requirement.
